CHARLOTTE, NC – The Charlotte Crown and Novant Health announced today that they have agreed to a partnership ahead of the team’s inaugural 2026 UPSHOT season, marking a shared commitment to advancing women’s sports and supporting athlete health and performance in the Charlotte region.
As part of the partnership, Novant Health will serve as the exclusive healthcare provider for the Crown, delivering comprehensive medical coverage for the players.This includes a dedicatedteam primary care sportsmedicine physician, on-site event medicine, and physical therapy support designed to optimize performance throughout the season.
“Novant Health has been integral to everything that happens here at Bojangles Coliseum and we are thrilled to add their support to the Charlotte Crown,” said team president Shawn Lynch. “Just as teamwork is essential on the court, this partnership allows us to work together to ensure our fans and players have the resources they need to be their best.”
As a founding partner, Novant Health will be integrated throughout fan engagement initiatives, including as the presenting sponsor of opening night on May 21 and the team’s official mascot.
