The Crown continued on their road trip Sunday, heading to Savannah and gaining their 6th consecutive win in a row by beating the Steel 82-72.
Charlotte started off strong with a lead in the beginning of the first quarter but slowly allowed the Steel to crawl their way back to make this a back-and-forth contest. The Crown didn’t let that stop them, though, and took the reins to hold the lead for 33 out of the 40 total minutes in this afternoon’s game. This made it 6 straight wins for the Charlotte Crown.
Deja Kelly led Charlotte with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals, crowning her the Queens University of Charlotte Royal of the Game, while Schaquilla Nunn was 8-8 in free throws this afternoon and posted a double-double (18 points, 14 boards). The Charlotte Crown now have a week to prepare before heading to Jacksonville for another road contest on Friday.
