The Charlotte Crown have officially clinched their spot in the UPSHOT League Championship, which will be held on August 29 in Jacksonville, FL.
The inaugural championship game will pit the top two teams from the regular season against each other, and with tonight’s win over the Savannah Steel, the Crown (17-10) are mathematically locked into one of those spots alongside the Jacksonville Waves (20-6).
Charlotte is 10-1 since July 5 and boasts the league leader in points and assists (Deja Kelly) as well as rebounds and blocks (Schaquilla Nunn). The Crown have seven games remaining on their regular-season slate – including six at Bojangles Coliseum – and are back in action Saturday for a 4 p.m. tip-off against the Savannah Steel.
