The red-hot Charlotte Crown made a statement on Sunday, crushing the first-place Jacksonville Waves 105-73 to earn their seventh straight victory – the longest such streak by a team in the UPSHOT League’s inaugural season.

This marked the Crown’s largest margin of victory this season, easily eclipsing the previous mark of 20 points set in an 87-67 win at Greensboro on June 20. Charlotte’s 105 points were also a new record for any UPSHOT team in during regulation play and two more than their previous season high set in their first-ever game in Jacksonville on May 15.

Schaquilla Nunn recorded 18 points and 11 rebounds for Charlotte, which had six total players put up double digits in points.

The win improved the Crown to 16-10 on the season, while Jacksonville dropped to 20-6. Three of the Waves’ six losses this season were against the Crown.

Charlotte jumped out to an early lead in this contest, going on a 9-0 run after Jacksonville recorded the game’s first bucket, and never looked back. They led by at least 15 points at each quarter break and put the exclamation point on the contest with a 29-15 run in the final quarter.
