The Charlotte Crown snapped their three-game losing streak with a 90-82 win over the Jacksonville Waves on Sunday at Vystar Arena.

Deja Kelly led Charlotte with 22 points and six assists, racking up her fifth contest in a row with 20 or more points. Meanwhile Reigan Richardson added 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting, connecting on three three-pointers. Schaquille Nunn posted a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds as the Crown controlled the paint 44-36 and generated 11 second chance points off the offensive glass.

Charlotte led for 39 of 40 minutes, building a lead as large as 15 and never letting Jacksonville find a rhythm. The Crown outscored the Waves 26-19 in the first quarter and held that advantage throughout, despite finishing with 12 turnovers. Jacksonville’s 16 giveaways kept Charlotte in control and allowed the Crown to generate easy scoring opportunities in transition.

The win snaps a three-game losing streak against Jacksonville and marks Charlotte’s second road victory over the Waves this season.

The Crown’s long road trip will continue on July 10 at 7 p.m. against the Greensboro Groove at Novant Health Fieldhouse.
