The Crown returned to Bojangles Coliseum for the first time in over a month and put on a show, beating Greensboro 85-78.
Being back in front of their home crowd seemed to energize the Crown, who ripped out to a 29-9 lead by the time the first quarter ended. That hot start was more than enough for Charlotte to withstand any comeback attempt from the Groove, who pulled within single digits in the waning moments of the contest before the Crown closed things out.
Schaquilla Nunn continued to be a dominant force for the Crown, leading the team with 24 points and 15 boards for yet another double-double. Reigan Richardson chipped in 16 of her own and AD Durr posted 14 points along with a team-best four assists to help propel the home side to victory.
The Crown kick off the final month of the regular season with a pair of weekend matchups coming up – first on Saturday against Savannah and then Sunday against Jacksonville.
