The Crown are back in Jacksonville for a pair of holiday-weekend tilts – before things tip off, let’s take a look at some of the keys to these matchups.

GET BACK ON TRACK

Charlotte had been flying high through the month of June, rattling off a league-best six consecutive wins to catapult out of the cellar of the standings. They were brought back to earth during last weekend’s visit to Jacksonville, though, as the Waves knocked them off in consecutive contests to snap the streak. The Crown will now look to start a new run, one that will require them to beat a Waves squad that has taken three of the four meetings between the rivals this season.

DK VS THE WAVES

While the results haven’t always fallen the Crown’s way, Deja Kelly has certainly enjoyed facing the Waves this season. In three of the four matchups with Jacksonville thus far, the Charlotte guard has racked up at least 30 points on the scoresheet. More recently, Kelly is averaging 29.3 points over her last three contests.

ROAD WARRIORS

These two matchups in Jacksonville are in the midst of a staggering trip through the UPSHOT League for the Crown, who will go nearly a month-and-a-half between home games. These games mark the sixth and seventh consecutive road tests for the Crown, who are 4-4 away from Bojangles Coliseum thus far this season.
