The surging Charlotte Crown survived a second-half scare by Savannah to earn their sixth-straight win, 76-65, at Bojangles Coliseum on Saturday.

Reigan Richardson led the way with 33 points, 12 of which were during a crucial stretch of close play in the fourth-quarter as the Crown pulled away for good. Reigan’s point total was the most by a Crown player this season.

This matches the Crown’s longest win streak of the season and improves them to 15-10 in the inaugural UPSHOT campaign.

Deja Kelly chipped in 15 points for the Crown, who will host the first-place Jacksonville Waves at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Charlotte led for the majority of the first half outside the first few minutes and took a 33-24 lead into the break, only to see the Steel go on a 16-4 run to start the third and take the lead. Richardson would take it from there, however, going on a run that put the game away and handed the Steel their 10th straight defeat.
