The Crown got back into the win column with their latest matchup against the Groove, grounding Greensboro 85-75 Thursday afternoon.
It was a team effort on the road for Charlotte, as it had five players in double figures – including matching double-doubles down low from Michelle Onyiah and Schaquilla Nunn. But it was Reigan Richardson who stole the show, leading the way with 25 points to go along with seven boards and a pair of steals.
Early on the contest featured lots of back-and-forth action, with the Groove building up a 10-point lead over Charlotte midway through the first quarter. The Crown quickly shook that deficit off though, and would hold the advantage on the scoreboard at the end of each quarter the rest of the way.
The final two of what will be five straight games in Greensboro for the Crown come on Friday (7 p.m.) and Sunday (2 p.m.).
