The Crown kicked off an extended road trip Thursday afternoon, but they took their hot hand with them, beating the Groove 80-69 for their fourth consecutive win.
Just a few hours removed from defeating the Groove in the Queen City, the Crown went into Greensboro and kept that momentum rolling. They raced out to a quick 13-point lead in the opening quarter, and while the Groove would punch back throughout the contest, that head start proved to be enough for the visitors.
Behind five different double-digit point producers on the offensive side and their fifth straight game holding their opponent under 80 points on the defensive side, the Crown held a wire-to-wire lead and ultimately pushed their winning streak to four games.
Schaquilla Nunn led the way for Charlotte with a double-double (15 points, 11 rebounds), while LeLe Grissett posted 14 points and Deja Kelly came away with 11 points and seven boards.
