The Crown kept on rolling Saturday afternoon, handing the Groove another lopsided defeat to run their red-hot streak to five wins in a row.
For the second consecutive game the Crown immediately grabbed the lead and never coughed it up. Building an advantage on the scoreboard as high as 26 points, Charlotte weathered a handful of runs from the home side but managed to keep the Groove at bay across the entirety of the contest.
A balanced attack powered the visitors, as all 10 players that touched the court found the scoresheet. Leading the way was AD Durr, who was lights out from three and paced all Charlotte scorers with 16 points, while Deja Kelly and Reigan Richardson finished with 15 and 14 points, respectively.
The blowout win marked five victories in a row for the Crown, who have skyrocketed out of the cellar and now sit in sole possession of second place in the UPSHOT League. They’ll continue to the next leg of their extended road trip tomorrow in Savannah.
